How the “ETH Fruit” bot scam works on Telegram

Hi.

There’s a bunch of people spreading referral codes for the ETH Fruit bot, running on Telegram. They’re sending them all over the place. So I installed the ETH Fruit for Telegram.

After playing it for a while, I got 7.89ETH that I was ready to withdraw. Here’s where the scam happens.

First of all, you can’t get anything going, unless you have 10 active referrals.. So you get 10 active referrals. Then, you need to get at least 0.05ETH by playing the game incessantly. Then you need to throw in your wallet + email details.

And then, when you’re ready to withdraw, you’ll get told it takes 30 business days. Or you can pay 0.05ETH right now to get the transfer faster.

You’d better immediately otherwise nothing!

Edit: I found the above from my stash of screenshots. Very enticing, right?

So, think about it. As of 13th June 2021, 0.05ETH is 100,35€. So if you have thousands and thousands of desperate people trying to get paid quickly, you’re raking in a considerable amount of money.

Well, I decided to not pay the “speed up” payment, and just wait for 30 business days. What happened?

Nothing happened, that’s what.

Now, if you don’t pay for it, maybe some of your 10 referral guys will. Either way, you’ll get an interesting snowball effect where at least someone is in such a rush to get money that they decide they can invest 100€ in a black hole.

So, why is ETH Fruit still on Telegram? Who knows. A bunch of other Fruitbots have been recently killed off and the users of them are notified that it is considered a spam and to not send them money.

If you have an ETH Fruit bot connection, just mark it as spam. Nobody needs to be fooled into sending these guys 0.05ETH. They don’t deserve it.

Here’s the gist of it. Just send them money, and you can withdraw faster. Let’s just put it this way, I’ve been waiting for my won 9ETH to arrive on my wallet for over 45 business days.

What do you want to do, instead of the Telegram Fruit bot hoax? Well, maybe you just want to fool around with cryptofaucets and Pay-To-Click & Survey type stuff. At least that way, you’ll eventually get 0.19€ for your weeks and weeks of work.
